Whilst at the University of Sussex in Brighton, I had to create a 30 second long visual effects clip using After Effects, it was composited from a variety of clips requiring green / blue screening, with graphics being built and tracked onto the laser ‘gun’. Finally the whole composition had artificial camera shakes applied and was colour corrected.

A great web app for playing around with HTML and CSS in the browser, would be interesting to see if it works on the iPad.
Pictaculous (from MailChimp) lets you upload or email a photo and then generates a colour palette from it. You can email (firstname.lastname@example.org) straight from your iPhone and get a reply complete with your colour palette results. It also suggestion palettes from kuler and COLOURlovers.
