Apple releases iOS 9.3.2 – You can now use Night Shift and Low Power Mode at the same time

– Fixes an issue where some Bluetooth accessories could experience audio quality issues when paired to the iPhone SE
– Fixes an issue where looking up dictionary definitions could fail
– Addresses an issue that prevented typing email addresses when using the Japanese Kana keyboard in Mail and Messages
– Fixes an issue for VoiceOver users using the Alex voice, where the device switches to a different voice to announce punctuation or spaces
– Fixes an issue that prevented MDM servers from installing Custom B2B apps

Alongside theses less exciting bug fixes, you can now use Night Shift alongside Low Power Mode. Previously Low Power Mode would deactivate Night Shift.

For example, you can click the button to unlock or start a car, open your garage door, call a cab, call your spouse or a customer service representative, track the use of common household chores, medications or products, or remotely control your home appliances.

Amazon have launched an AWS IoT Button. Just like the Amazon Dash button it’s based on it’s only available in the U.S. and connects to your Wi-Fi network.

They’re a neat idea, the Dash buttons are branded and re-order the product they’re assigned to whenever you click the button. Now, with the Button you can hook that click into anything you like.

Oliver Morley, CEO of the DVLA (who handle U.K. driving licences) tweets a prototype of a driving licence using iOS’s Wallet app.

It’s now possible since the U.K. ditched the paper counterpart in June 2015. Oliver provides no timelines yet but states it’s an add-on to your physical photocard licence and that security is their focus. I’m curious to see how they get around fraud with this.
